Planting Flowers In Boulder City Park-Colorado

Under the convenership of Rocky Mountain Friends of Nepal, 400 seedlings of Nepali marigold and other flower species were planted at Chautauque Park in Boulder, Colorado on June 2nd, 2011. In the program, presided by RMFN President Surendra Shrestha, present were representatives of different organizations and local people. Vishwanath Bhandari, President of Nepali Public Relation Committee of Colorado Chapter, appreciated the program as being the first constructive initiative. He also added that the program would be important to maintain the identity of the Nepalese.

Dr Vijay Raj Sharma said that it was a new and appropriate program and that everyone should pay due attention to the conservation of flower species. Similarly, former RMFN President Dharma Raj Shrestha was of the opinion that this program would add to the glory of the Nepalese. Likewise, former Secretary Pramila Sharma and central representative of Nepali Public Relation Committee Buddhi Prasad Lamichhane commented the program as being very admirable.

RMFN Family would like to thank to Boulder City Mayor Susan Ozburn for making arrangement of planting flower seedlings at the park and to Tony Tomerautz and Courtney Lamb for assisting in planting the same. RMFN expects the same cooperation from all the Nepalese in the years to come, too. RMFN Public Officer Prem Kaji Shrestha facilitated the program.

Dr. Chintamani Yogi's Talk show
Dr Chintamani Yogi was born in Nepal in 1963. He holds Master's degree in Sanskrit with specialization in philosophy. He has devoted his life to the causes of spirituality, peace, nonviolence, social work and education. He has founded and runs three Hindu Vidyapeeth Schools and a number of other spiritual and peace centers like Shanti Sewa Ashram and Youth Society for Peace in Nepal.  He lays emphasis on value-based education and is a prolific speaker at conferences on subjects like inter-faith. He has written 15 books in Nepali. He is fluent in Hindi and English.

We were happy to welcome Dr Yogi in Colorado. RMFN invited people to attend his discourses organized in Thronton and Boulder on June 5 and 6 respectively. The discourse revolved around Hindutva, dharma and humanity.

Those present in the discourse voluntarily contributed some funds to Dr Yogi's charity.

The RMFN family is thankful to Dr Vijay Raj Sharma and Ms Pramila Sharma for their efforts to make the program a success. A vote of thanks is due to Viewpoint Condominiums Club House in Thorton and Boulder Public Library- Meadows Branch in Boulder for providing the program with venues. RMFN is also grateful to those all who attended the discourse.
